This photo is from an edition of the Dignity circa 1997! It looked a little different back then. We love to look back on our past and see how things have grown since then. If you would like a copy of the Spring 2020 edition of the Dignity, email admin@bootstrapafrica.org your home address. We will get a copy to you ASAP!

OBA is proud to have been recognized as a 4-star organization by Charity Navigator for 8 consecutive years! This status is rewarded for meeting the highest standards of financial health, transparency, and accountability. This puts us in the top 10% of all nonprofit organizations in the United States. We are so grateful to our donors for helping us maintain this standard, and hope to keep it going in the future!

We want to thank everyone who has sent a letter to our students in Tanzania. Letters are usually hand delivered to your students by OBA staff, but this year we are not able to enter Africa due to travel restrictions. COVID-19 has made it very difficult to send letters internationally, but we did successfully send the letters sent to us throughout the year.
If you have communication to send to your student and would like it delivered right away, feel free to email a copy to info@bootstrapafrica.org. We will make sure to send your message to the headmaster of your student’s school, and email you their reply!
Wishing health and blessings on all of you.

Operation Bootstrap Africa wishes you a Happy Independence Day! In Tanzania, this public holiday is always celebrated on December 9th. It celebrates the end of British rule in Tanganyika in 1961. It is Tanzania’s National Day, a day when the Tanzanian people mark their independence with speeches, parades and flags.
