Brand New School of Nursing Video

OBA has collaborated with a professional film maker to create a video highlighting the Arusha Lutheran Medical Center School of Nursing. In Tanzania, nurses are in short supply. Including doctors, nurses, midwives, and health aides, there are only 5 providers in Tanzania for every 10,000 people. In 2015, Operation Bootstrap Africa partnered with ALMC to start a nursing school which helps to fill some of this need. The ALMC School of Nursing provides 1, 2, and 3 year training programs for students pursuing degrees or certification in the fields of midwifery, community health, and nursing. OBA provides a scholarship fund for the ALMC School of Nursing which subsidizes the cost of tuition for all students, and creates greater access to healthcare education. Nurses trained here are bringing heart and hope to their country, and paving the way for women in the workplace. Click on the video above to learn more about this incredible program.

Enjoy These Photos!

In January of this year, we were able to travel to Tanzania with some of our amazing donors. Along with us, was a professional photographer who documented the schools we visited, and really captured the beauty of the students in our programs. Enjoy the photos and email us if you would like to see more!
